Overview

The Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) is one of India's top National Institutes of Technology (NITs), located in Jaipur, India. It changed its name to its current one in 2002 and was designated as an Institute of National Importance (INI) 2007.  From its humble beginnings in 1963, now the university has expanded and grown to include fourteen departments, a management school, and several affiliated centers. The Institute is entirely supported by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. A Senate administers it by the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Statutes.

MNIT Jaipur aims to create an Institution to provide technical knowledge of international standards. Besides, it also conducts activities and believes in shaping the students into professionals in their field so that they are able to handle present and future challenges. There are around 14 professors holding Ph.D. degrees in the field of Architecture and Planning. Therefore, they've been allowing pupils to enroll in various classes at the university. To address the needs of the industry, the university aspires to produce technical personnel.

Courses Offered

Three hundred seventeen acres of luxuriant nature surround the university's varsity campus. B. Arch. and MPlan programs are available to interested students at MNIT Jaipur. In addition, students at Malaviya Institute of Technology Jaipur benefit from a wide range of infrastructural resources.

B. Arch

Pass in Science at the 12th grade level from a recognized board.

 

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or 10+3 along with PCM as a compulsory subject and 75% aggregate marks.

 

For SC/ST candidates a relaxation of 5% will be provided in final aggregate marks.

The B. Arch. program is a five-year program with two semesters per year. Assuming a credit system based on student selection, this translates to ten semesters for the entire course.

 

The selection of the B. Arch students will be done on the basis of JEE Mains, followed by JoSAA counseling.

 

M. Plan

Urban Planning

 

B.Arch / B.Plan or an equivalent degree from an accredited college or universityCourse duration is 2 years with 2 semesters each year. The course is available in part-time mode.

Courses Highlight

A wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs are available through the MNIT Jaipur campus. B. Arch is a four-year full-time course and admission is based on the basis of degrees secured at 10+2 along with 75% aggregate marks. Final selection to the program is done after the JEE Main and Entrance exam and will be based on the allocations of seats through CSAB- Central Seat Allocation Board. The tuition at MNIT Jaipur is very reasonable for all programmes. However, it takes between two and five years to complete all full-time courses. The B. Arch program at MNIT Jaipur costs 81.5 lakh.

● The university offers a five-year “B.Arch” course at the UG level.

● The university offers a two-year course for M.Plan with 2 semesters each year.

Application Process

Candidates applying for B. Arch programs selection will be done on the basis of JoSAA Counselling. And the final selection will be based on the allocation of seats through the Central Seat Allocation Board. 

For M Plan courses selection will be done on the basis of a Bachelor's degree with 60% marks in aggregate, followed by a GATE score.

However, the final selection will be made by CCMT- Centralized Counselor for M Plan. 

However, at MNIT Jaipur, candidates are ultimately chosen based on their performance in previous exams, qualifying exams, and interviews. Application forms for programs offered at MNIT Jaipur are available online. 

Result and Cut off

The cut-off list is used to narrow the field of potential candidates. JEE Mains and GATE scores are used to calculate the MNIT Jaipur cut-off list. Therefore, students who want to take a particular course at the Institute will have to go through this cut-off list to qualify. To qualify for the exam, candidates must meet a minimum score in each subject. A few factors go into creating this cut-off list: the number of seats in an institution, how many students took the exam, the level of difficulty of the exam, and the number of students who participated.

The MNIT Jaipur is spread on a land of 317 acres. The institute is divided into 14 departments and each department has highly qualified and experienced professors.
