The School of Maritime Management, Indian Maritime University, Chennai, aims to train business professionals in three areas: marine logistics, shipping, and port management. It achieves these goals through four degree programs: BBA (Logistics, Retailing, and E-Commerce), BBA (Maritime Logistics), MBA (International Transportation & Logistics Management), and MBA (Port & Shipping Management). Fees

The tuition fees for the various BBA and MBA degree programs offered by IMU Chennai are as follows:

  • BBA (both programs): INR 1.05 LPA.
  • MBA (both programs): INR 2.05 LPA.
  • Candidates who do not pass the compulsory medical examination will not have their registration and first semester fees refunded.
  • One time fees to be paid by all students are as follows:
    • Program fees: INR 30,000, payable at the time of registration to confirm acceptance of the admission offer. This is the first installment of the tuition fee, and is to be deducted from the annual fee listed above.
    • Admission registration fee: INR 10,000. This is not refundable, and is charged at the time of academic registration. Students who have paid the online counseling fee will not have to pay the admission registration fee.
    • Caution deposit: This is payable at the time of admission, and the security deposit of INR 30,000 is refunded during graduation subject to good conduct.

GST at the prevailing rate will be added to all the fees listed above. Semester fees that are paid late attract a penalty of INR 200 per day.

The BBA and MBA programs at the School of Maritime Management are non-residential, and hence no hostel and mess fees are payable. However, students must budget for transportation costs to the campus, and monthly rents if they are not domiciled in Chennai.

Admissions
